Hello, my name is Ilka Minor and I am 41 years old. I completed my training at the "flexyfit sports academy" to become a Dipl. Health Fitness & Personal Trainer and Dipl. Functional Strength Master Trainer I completed in 2015. I've been doing sport since I was a child. At first it was on the side, but now it's my life. My actual sport is rallying and, more recently, off-road rallying.
I have had a motorsport license since 1994 and have accompanied a number of drivers both nationally and internationally as a co-driver. It doesn't sound like a strength or endurance sport, but to keep up in rallying you have to be well trained. Rallying takes several days, during which you have to be physically and mentally fit; the slightest mistake can have fatal consequences.
Why I chose the "Flexyfit Sports Academy" as my training institute is actually quite simple. In 2010, I had an accident in which my 12th thoracic vertebra suffered a compression fracture. An operation followed and after 8 weeks of rest, the muscles had to be rebuilt through targeted training.

Client and trainer collaboration turned into friendship
As a trainer, I was chosen Melanie Brandstätter was recommended to me. A customer and trainer collaboration not only developed into a friendship, but also into a training partnership. The constant contact with Melanie and the Academy, which I was able to follow from the very beginning, sparked my own interest in becoming a trainer myself.
My aim was to improve my own training and to pass on my experience in the future, especially to my motorsport colleagues. At the moment, however, I am still too active in rallying myself. In any case, the training gives me the opportunity to stay in motorsport after my career and I am pursuing this goal.
I can only thank Melanie, all the instructors and staff at the Flexyfit Sports Academy for the brilliant training, the cooperation and the positive atmosphere. I really enjoyed every single training session!
