NADA Austria
The workshop is offered free of charge in cooperation with Nada Austria.
The principle of improving performance by taking various substances has been part of human history since time immemorial. Particularly in top-class sport, where the difference between winning and losing is becoming ever smaller, there are numerous tempting preparations designed to increase the chances of success.
Not only are the limits of fairness exceeded, but considerable damage to health is also accepted. It is particularly worrying that doping is increasingly spilling over into popular sport. International and national anti-doping organizations are trying to put a stop to doping abuse.
NADA (National Anti-Doping Agency Austria) is an independent institution for doping controls and anti-doping work in Austria. NADA's primary goal is to protect clean athletes. Regular checks, investigations and preventive educational measures in both competitive and popular sports are intended to ensure this.
In this video course, you will learn how NADA operates and what its tasks are. It then takes a closer look at the topic of doping. It also explains why doping occurs in the first place and how it is combated. In the last part, the effects of doping on health are explained.
