Functional training and Thai boxing - the training makes it possible!

My name is Marcel Bacs, I am 20 years old and have completed my training as a Dipl. Functional Strength Master Trainer in October 2016 and completed it in August 2017.

I have been involved in sport since I was 14. I played soccer in a club for two years. But I soon realized that soccer wasn't for me and took up kickboxing for the first time when I was 16.
I've been doing martial arts since I was 16 and also train in the gym with weights.
At 18 and 19, I unfortunately had two knee operations and had to take almost a year off from martial arts. I then took a very close look at my body and my mental strength and started martial arts again six months after my second operation - this time with Thai boxing.

On April 1, 2017, the time had come - my perseverance and persistence brought me my first professional K1 fight, which I won on points. Since then, I can no longer separate myself from this sport - it has made me who I am.

I focused a lot on my body and my mental strength.

Training to become a fitness trainer was my goal after my apprenticeship!

I wanted to train as a fitness trainer because I realized after my apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer that it wasn't for me. I wanted to turn my hobby into a career: To help people back into sport after injuries and also to give young people hope again after serious injuries that they can still perform at their best in sport. I found the Flexyfit Sports Academy through research on the Internet. I organized an information appointment straight away and was immediately convinced to go through with the training. I learned so much about the human body and how to train it - I was able to take a lot out of it and learn a lot for myself.

The trainers at the Flexyfit Sports Academy have so much knowledge...

- exactly what I expected. I'm still working as a mechanical engineer at the moment, but I want to move into the fitness industry quickly and I'm always on the lookout.

My goal is to reach the top of the world in martial arts. It's still a long way to go, but I'm motivated to take on this challenge. After my fighting career, I would like to run my own martial arts studio and show people that martial arts is not just "brutal" but a wonderful and unifying sport.
