Paul Haber is an expert in sports medicine in more ways than one: the former Austrian swimming champion has coached the Olympic team in Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996), among others.

Paul Haber studied medicine at the University of Vienna, where he graduated in 1970 and trained as a specialist in internal medicine and internal sports medicine. In 1984, he habilitated in sports and performance medicine.

In 1992, he founded the Department of Sports and Performance Medicine at the University Clinic for Internal Medicine IV at Vienna General Hospital. Today, in addition to his work at the AKH, the physician heads the Center for Medical Training Therapy & Training Consultation in Vienna.

Prof. Dr. Paul Haber is the author of five textbooks on performance medicine, performance physiology, medical training therapy, lung function and nutritional medicine and can look back on more than 200 scientific publications. He is president of the Jewish sports club Hakoah in Vienna's Prater.
