When we talk about skin , most people first think of skincare products, make-up or their own reflection in the mirror in the morning. But the skin is much more than just our outer covering. It is the largest organ in our body, our protective shield, a sensory organ and an expression of our health.
In skin science, you will learn about the anatomical structure of the skin and its individual layers. You will learn how it works, what tasks it performs and why it sometimes reacts sensitively to external influences. You will learn how to recognize different skin types and understand which skincare and make-up products are suitable for which skin type. Another important part of the course is how to deal with skin irritations and allergies. You will learn how to recognize allergic reactions, how to deal with them responsibly and how to select products that support the skin instead of burdening it.
This practical unit helps you not only to see the skin, but to really understand it. This will enable you to apply type-appropriate make-up that highlights rather than conceals - while keeping the health and well-being of your customers in mind.
Hygiene & workplace organization
In make-up artistry, cleanliness is not a minor matter, but an essential part of professionalism. In the subject of hygiene and workplace organization, you will learn how to create a hygienic, safe and trustworthy work area. First, you will deal with the basic hygiene stages. Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization. You will learn which of these measures are necessary in everyday make-up work and when they should be used. This includes how to clean and disinfect brushes, sponges, palettes and tools correctly to prevent skin irritations and infections.
Another focus is on correct hand washing and personal hygiene routines. You will learn how to keep contact surfaces clean, remove products hygienically and prevent the transmission of germs. This also includes careful handling of make-up, creams and liquid products to ensure their quality and safety.
The overall impression of the workplace is just as important: a well-organized table, clear processes and a quiet, clean work area convey professionalism and confidence. Material science
In materials science, you will learn about the most important tools of the trade . Before you can create make-up, you need to know which materials to work with and how to use them correctly, and you will learn about different brushes and tools, including foundation and eyeshadow brushes as well as spatulas, eyelash curlers and sponges. You will learn which shape and texture of a brush creates which effect and which brush is best for applying creamy, powdery or liquid textures. Because every product can only be applied beautifully if the right tool is used.
You will also take a closer look at different make-up textures . Powder, cream, gel, liquid and stick products. You will learn which textures combine well with each other, how they behave on the skin and how to apply them so that they look natural and last a long time. This also includes how to remove products correctly in order to use them hygienically and sparingly.
Another focus is the correct handling of the material. You will practise how to clean brushes, store products and prepare your work set so that you can work efficiently, cleanly and professionally, and the aim of this unit is for you to not only know your tools, but to master them. This means that your make-up is not left to chance, but is created with precision, feeling and technical confidence.
Color theory
Colors are omnipresent: in our reflection in the mirror, in nature, in clothing and make-up. But only when we understand their effect on people and know how they relate to each other can we use them consciously. This is exactly where color theory comes in.
To begin with, you will get to know the color wheel. It shows how colors are related to each other and which combinations have a harmonious or contrasting effect. Whether warm or cool, soft or strong - every color carries a certain mood . You will learn how these moods are used in make-up to create radiance, freshness or depth.
In the next step, you will focus on color analysis. You will observe the skin undertone, eye color and hair structure in order to recognize which color nuances make a face appear lively. It's about noticing differences that seem inconspicuous at first glance, but play a major role in the overall picture.
In the practical part of the type consultation, you will get to know the classic color types, such as the spring, summer, autumn and winter types. Step by step, you will learn how to clearly classify people and choose suitable make-up colors. The aim is to choose colors not just because they look "beautiful", but because they emphasize the natural personality. at the end of this unit, you will not only have theoretical knowledge, but also a trained eye. Facial analysis
How does a face change when light and shadow are used in a targeted way? This is exactly where facial analysis comes in: it is about consciously perceiving proportions and understanding the influence of make-up on the shape of the face. You will learn to recognize and distinguish between different face shapes such as oval, round, angular, heart-shaped or long. This is the basis for working specifically with light and shadow later on.
The aim of any make-up design is to create harmonious and balanced proportions. In make-up artistry, the oval face is considered ideal, as its lines appear soft and even. With the help of contouring and highlighting techniques , you can visually approximate other face shapes to this ideal.
An important part of the unit is taking a close look at individual parts of the face. You analyze the distance between the eyes, the shape and height of the eyebrows, the proportions of the forehead, cheeks and chin as well as the lines of the bridge of the nose. The shape of the lips and jawline also play a role. All these details determine how a face looks: soft, striking, open or rather compact.

Customer-oriented work in the beauty industry

First, you will repeat the most important basics from the classic application and then learn the technical and practical differences to the volume technique. This includes areas of application, advantages, look variations and the structural differences between the lashes used. You will then learn about materials and tools: ultra-thin volume lashes, suitable adhesive options and precise tweezers. Their gripping technique and hand position are decisive for the quality of your subsequent fans. Fan techniques & craftsmanship

To practice eyelash extensions as a self-employed professional in Austria, you must hold a license for the regulated trade "Cosmetology (limited to eyelash design)." To register for this trade, you generally need to pass a qualification exam or provide equivalent proof of competence.

What is the difference between Classic and Volume?
Classic (1:1) places one lash on top of a natural lash for natural length. Volume uses several ultra-fine lashes as fans for dramatic volume. Volume lashes are thinner and lighter than Classic lashes and require special glue and different tweezers. Volume treatments take longer, but achieve more spectacular results and are more highly rewarded.
What looks can I create with volume techniques?
You will learn various popular volume looks: Cat Eye for a seductive, outward-curving effect, Doll Eye for an open, doll-like look, Wispy/Kim-K for a glamorous, textured look and Natural Volume for subtle volume. Each look is individually adapted to the customer's eye shape and wishes.
What is Russian Volume?
Russian Volume is an advanced technique in which several ultra-fine lashes are bound into a fan and placed on a natural lash. This creates maximum volume with minimum weight and is gentle on the natural lashes. You will learn how to create stable, even fans from 2D to mega volume and customize them to the client's wishes.
What materials do I need for volume techniques?
You will need ultra-fine volume lashes in various thicknesses and lengths, special volume glue with a faster drying time, precise volume tweezers with a fine tip and professional workplace organization. Depending on the package, you will receive starter kits with all the necessary materials. The training also teaches material knowledge and adhesive handling for optimum results.
What requirements do I need for the Lash Stylist Expert training?
Basic knowledge of eyelash extensions is an advantage, but not essential. What is important is a steady hand, precision, patience and a passion for beauty. The training is suitable for lash stylists who want to expand their skills and for motivated beginners who want to start directly with volume techniques.
Do I need the Basic training before the Expert training?
Basic knowledge of eyelash extensions is recommended, as volume techniques build on the basics. If you already have experience with the 1:1 technique, you can start directly with the Expert training. However, the training also teaches the basics so that motivated beginners can also be successful with intensive training.
Can I complete the training while working?
Yes, the flexible structure with e-learning and selectable attendance dates allows you to learn on the job. You can work through theory at your own pace and complete practical units at weekends. Lifelong access to learning materials gives you maximum flexibility. Many graduates have successfully completed the course alongside their main job.
Do I have to bring my own materials or models?
No, depending on the package you choose, you will receive professional starter kits with eyelashes, glue, tweezers and all the necessary materials. Professional tools and products are available for the practical face-to-face sessions. Please bring your own models, for example from your friends or family. However, the Academy will be happy to help you find suitable models for your practical sessions.
Is there a minimum age for the models?
Models should be at least 18 years old, as the treatment requires precision and the models have to lie still for a long time. Models under the age of 18 require the written consent of their parents or legal guardians. Make sure that your models do not have any contraindications such as eye infections, allergies to adhesives or very sensitive eyes.

I was able to learn a lot of new things as part of my training at the Flexyfit Academy and was able to take on a new, demanding challenge with my chosen course. The structure of the training courses is very understandable and clear, so that you can master the distance learning course on your own without any problems. If there were any questions, ambiguities or isolated problems, the Academy team was always quick to help and we could always find a common solution. Here and there I would have liked a little more practical relevance. A really demanding training, great material, the videos are great, the script complements it well. The structure is very sensible and you can find your way around easily. I just find the proportionality of the yoga license compared to the Pilates license unfavorable. Many more exams are required for the yoga license. The final exam for the yoga license is also significantly more difficult; in my opinion, questions need to be reconsidered.

I have already completed two correspondence courses and I can say that continuing my education with the Flexyfit courses is simply fun. You learn at your own pace and are flexible in terms of time and location.
I have now completed two training courses at the Flexyfit Academy and would do it again in a heartbeat. If possible, I recommend the face-to-face courses, they simply result in a really exciting exchange. Service and support are top and all needs are taken into account. Mini drawback: the online learning system is not entirely straight-forward, but you get used to it quickly.

For all coaches who want to absorb detailed knowledge in one or more areas. I'm just very enthusiastic about the Flexyfit Sport Acamedy and felt like I was in great hands with the trainers. The enthusiasm was so palpable even during the Zoom workshops. Regardless of whether you prefer to read the script or watch the accompanying videos, there is a medium for every type of learner and the learning material is extremely well prepared. And should any questions arise, the “Customer Service” is there super quickly and responds after a few hours or is there to give advice.
Simply great and very, very nice. All the employees from the Flexyfit Sports Academy team are so nice, courteous and helpful. Help is available within minutes to an hour if questions arise while learning online. It's a lot to learn, but it shows that trainer training, no matter the subject, requires a certain foundation and I personally think it's exactly right. For me, this shows quality and that not every self-proclaimed professional is also a connoisseur and expert. Be careful with who and where you train! The training (Dipl. Health Fitness & Personal Trainer) is really great, if I had a problem I was always helped very quickly. The videos in conjunction with the scripts are very helpful and well designed, the training overall is well structured, including the intermediate exams, practice tasks, etc. This consolidates what you have learned even better! The lecturers are also very competent and my two examiners were very friendly and relaxed, so there was no reason to be nervous. All in all highly recommended!
