How do you become a relaxation trainer?

Once you have registered for the course, you can immediately start your distance learning course with over 500 high-resolution learning videos . First, you complete the basic module Sports Competence. With content from anatomy, nutrition, physiology and much more, you will first build up your basic knowledge.

You will then focus on the relaxation trainer B license module and learn about relaxation methods, mental and autogenic training, stress theory and much more.

If you have opted for the B license, you will receive your certificate after the online final exam.

If you do the larger training to become a certified relaxation trainer, you will learn about the connections between relaxation and areas such as nutrition, endurance sports, spinal training and more in the certified relaxation trainer module. We will show you how to assist your clients with stretching and teach you basic yoga and Pilates exercises.

After passing the final exam, you will be able to support other people in dealing with stressful situations . You will receive your certificate both online and in a printed version, which we will send you by post.

Where do I work as a relaxation trainer?

Relaxation trainers have the option of becoming self-employed and teaching relaxation techniques to individuals in their own practice , as well as working in groups. For example, you can give courses or teach in institutions. Nowadays, schools and kindergartens also often have a need for autogenic training.

Some companies also employ an in-house relaxation trainer for their employees to help with work-related stress, so the options are varied and can be flexibly combined.

How much do I earn as a relaxation trainer?

Depending on whether relaxation trainers are self-employed or employed by a company, there are big differences in income.

In medium-sized companies, a monthly salary of €1500 or more is normal, but as an in-house relaxation trainer in a larger company, the gross monthly income can be as high as €2800.
The highest earnings can be achieved through self-employment, where €3000 per month is feasible with enough customers. However, if you are self-employed, you also need to own or rent your own premises and take care of bookkeeping and management.
