Low carb diet: magic bullet or myth?
Alongside fat and protein, carbohydratesare one of the main components of our diet and are primarily used to generate energy. Many diets, such as the Atkins, Keto or Logi diets , promise fast and effective weight loss by specifically avoiding carbohydrates (or carbs for short).
You can read some incredible success stories on the Internet and in numerous magazines. Even famous Hollywood stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts claim to have achieved their slim figure by giving up bread and potatoes.
But how sustainable is this huge weight loss really and what effect does giving up carbohydrates have on our health?
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of a balanced sports diet, the role of the individual macronutrients and the principles of fat loss. Using examples, you will learn how the low-carb diet works, with its advantages and disadvantages.
You should then be able to decide for yourself as well as for your clients whether and for whom a low-carb diet makes sense.
