The combination of both qualifications makes you particularly attractive for agencies, production companies and discerning private clients.

Do I need a business license in Austria if I want to work independently?

For purely decorative make-up services without invasive skin treatments, you need a "Cosmetics (beauty care)" competence test in Austria limited to decorative cosmetics. A regulated trade with a corresponding trade license is required for cosmetic and skin treatment activities. Registration takes place at the responsible municipal authority or district authority. The Academy will be happy to assist you with the legal steps.

What are the earning potentials with both diplomas?

The earning potential with both diplomas is significantly higher than with just one qualification, as you can serve different market segments. You will earn money from bridal make-up, event commissions, fashion shoots, film and TV productions and theater engagements. If you are employed, you will receive a regular salary with social insurance. Freelancers benefit from project-based fees, which can be very attractive depending on specialization, experience and portfolio quality.
