What is a portfolio and what do I need it for?

A portfolio is your professional workbook with high-quality photos of your best make-up work and transformations. A strong portfolio with professional before-and-after images of different looks opens doors to lucrative projects and helps build your brand.

Do I have to bring my own make-up products or models?

No, depending on the package you choose (Basic, Premium or VIP), you will receive various professional starter kits with beauty and SFX materials and tools. You are also welcome to use your own products. For the practical presence units, please bring your own models, for example from your circle of acquaintances, family or friends. However, we will be happy to support you in your search for suitable models.

Is there a minimum age for the models?

There is no minimum age for the models - young people can also act as models. For models under the age of 18, please obtain written consent from parents or legal guardians. The variety of models of different ages enriches your portfolio and shows your versatility with different skin types, face shapes and make-up styles.

Will I be supported in building up my portfolio?

Yes, during the course you will create professional work in both areas - classic beauty looks and creative SFX transformations - that you can use for your portfolio. You will receive guidance on portfolio design and learn how to photograph and present your work professionally. The practical work with real models offers ideal opportunities for high-quality portfolio photos for applications, agencies and social media.
