Do I have to bring my own make-up products or models?

No, depending on the package you choose (Basic, Premium or VIP), you will receive various professional starter kits with SFX materials and tools. You are also welcome to use your own products. For the practical presence units, please bring your own models, for example from your circle of acquaintances, family or friends. However, we will be happy to help you find suitable models. There is no minimum age for the models - young people can also act as models. For models under the age of 18, please obtain the written consent of their parents or legal guardians.

Will I be supported in building up my portfolio?

Yes, during the course you will create professional work that you can use for your portfolio. You will receive guidance on portfolio design and learn how to professionally photograph and present your SFX work. The practical work with real models offers ideal opportunities for high-quality portfolio photos that you can use for applications to production companies, agencies and social media.

How do I build up a customer base as a make-up artist?

You build a successful client base through a professional portfolio with high-quality photos of your SFX work and transformations, an active social media presence on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, networking at film festivals and theater productions, collaborations with photographers, filmmakers, production companies and cosplay communities, and referral marketing through satisfied clients.
