Individual qualification for the LSB limited to sports science advice

The prerequisite for the business license as a life and social counselor (LSB) in the field of sports science counseling is the successful completion of a sports science degree or a corresponding diploma training at the Austrian Federal Sports Organization (BSO).

As an alternative to a degree in sports science, for example, there is the option of obtaining a so-called individual qualification to become a "sports science consultant". In this case, the applicant must prove to the relevant specialist group of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber that he or she has the necessary knowledge and all other qualifications required to exercise the profession of sports science consultant.

However, the requirements for the individual certificates of competence differ from province to province and are not always uniformly regulated. This can make it difficult to understand the requirements and makes it advisable to find out about the specific requirements directly from the relevant professional group or the regional chamber of commerce.
