Introduction and setup (MDB)

This class provides students with a basic introduction to MariaDB and MySQL, two widely used relational database management systems. Beginning with an overview of the features and benefits of these systems, system requirements and installation prerequisites, the course then covers the installation and basic configuration of MariaDB and MySQL on various platforms, including Windows, macOS and Linux. Participants will learn how to install these database management systems and make the necessary configuration settings to set up a stable and powerful database environment.
