SPLIT training: How and when do I split effectively?
Who hasn't experienced it before? You train week after week, but it is currently difficult to achieve the desired training effects. It's definitely time to think about your own training plan!
For experienced strength athletes in particular, it makes sense to question the training system you are using:
- How often do I train per week?
- Which muscle groups do I train on which days?
- Does it make sense to switch from a full-body system to a split system?
With a split system , you don't train all your muscles on one day, but divide them up over several days of the week. The point of this? You can train more often and harder during the week, as the individual muscle groups get sufficient recovery time.
Provided you have the time to do so! However, if nothing stands in the way of regular, multi-day training, split training will deliver better results than a full-body system.
