Meridian theory - overview (AKK)
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), meridians are considered to be the channels of energy flow - they connect organ systems, tissues and functions with each other and play a central role in acupuncture and meridian massage. In this course, you will get a clear, practical introduction to meridian theory and learn to understand the meridian system in a structured way.
You will gain a well-founded overview of the twelve main meridians: their course on the body, their basic tasks and their assignment to the respective organ functional circuits. This will enable you to better classify complaints, tension patterns and energetic imbalances later on and react to them in a targeted manner in practice.
Special emphasis is placed on the emotional connections between the meridians. You will learn how emotions and stress can influence the flow of energy and how energetic imbalances manifest themselves both physically and mentally. You will also understand how energetic blockages arise and why the meridians play such an important role in the holistic view of health.
This basic knowledge is the foundation for working confidently with point work, meridian massage and energy-oriented treatment concepts in other practical subjects.
